Structure D0 519 is a planned part of the Prague Ring Road (SOKP) and as such it is of great importance for the Capital City of Prague, not only its northwest part. The aim of the construction is to divert all transit traffic from Prague and other municipalities, following other parts of the circuit. Building 519 is "conditioned" with the neighbouring section 518 Ruzyně - Suchdol. The realization of these buildings will be a significant improvement of the environment and development potential in the city.
SOKP is an important nationwide transport structure, which in its final form forms part of the basic communication system of the City of Prague, whose basic functions are:
• converting passable transit traffic,
• distributing source and target loads from the external motorway network to the city's communications network
• transferring some of the city-to-city traffic relations, especially in urban neighbourhoods adjacent to the circuit.
The task of AF-CITYPLAN was to prepare a detailed technical basis for assessing the environmental impact of construction. This was achieved in 2018. The proposal included a review and design of a new form of bridging the Vltava River in a very exposed location.
Another part of our work is elaboration of EIA documentation and cooperation on joint discussion with the construction of D0 518 Ruzyně - Suchdol.
